"Sound Waves" is a permanent commission for Public Art for
Public Schools & NYC Department of Education. The project
includes a sculpture and an interactive sound piece which will
be installed in the atrium at PS377 in Ozone Park, Queens.

Inspired by the nearby Jamaica Bay, the sculpture is a 3D
interpretation of audio recordings of ocean waves. It will be
constructed out of plexiglass and stainless steel, and
suspended from the 26 ft tall ceiling. Below the sculpture,
audio equipment will emit a brief recording of ocean
waves at the push of a blue button.

Project budget: $50,000.00
