Moonfinder, 2024
Steel, rope
Oct., 2024 – Aug., 2025
Riverside Park North, New York City
Moonfinder is a public sculpture and orientation device aligned with the ecliptic, reflecting Earth’s ever-changing position in the solar system. Merging science, engineering, and ancient symbolisms of the moon, this work acts as a literal and metaphorical navigation tool, highlighting its location in Riverside Park North and your place in the cosmos.
This project was made possible by the 2-year Works in Public artist fellowship offered by the Art Students League of New York in partnership with NYC Department of Parks & Recreation.
